Referendum, Quorum d’Italia

2011 ¦ Infographics

Referendum, Quorum d’Italia is a set of infographics that synthesize the history of political referendums occurred in Italy from 1946 to 2011.

Designed to occupy a double-page spread in a fictitious economic newspaper, these infographics provide some technical definitions of referendum’s key elements – as, for instance, electorate, turnout, quorum and yes/no percentage – and visually report their values contextually to each of the 70 referendum ever held in Italy.

The pages’ layout and the shape of the elements are optimized in order to facilitate readers a simultaneous, multi-faceted and not strictly textual fruition of such a large amount of data.
